On Sunday as we were getting ready for Mass, Grace was standing on the toilet chewing on the wood piece on the end of the blinds. She jumped off the toilet to follow George out and nearly pulled her tooth out. It was sticking out literally horizontal to the ground, just straight out and loose. I pushed it back down and took her to the emergency clinic nearby. She really didn't cry much. In fact, by the time we were pulling out of the driveway she was much more concerned about the fact that we left her shoes than she was about her tooth. The tooth has tightened back up although the tooth isn't in the exact same position as before. We followed up with the dentist on Monday. She didn't seem to think the permanent tooth would be affected, although she did say the baby tooth will stay like it is until if falls and may even discolor in the meantime. We really are lucky she didn't completely lose the tooth. In the grand scheme of things, it really was a minor injury! You can see the difference in her smile in this picture from last night. Ahh, the things this girl puts us through!

Jello Fun
So the other night I run to the store to get some milk and come home to jello all over the kitchen. Ah well, at least the kids had fun and I didn't have to clean it all up :)

A New Friend
George's longtime friend Mike and his wife Nicole were in town visiting Mike's family last week. We got to meet up with them, and Clare and Emma got along wonderfully. I'm not surprised, after all, they are less than a month apart. They look pretty cute together if I say so myself, and it was wonderful to see old friends.

First Haircut
It took us awhile to actually get up the courage to cut Clare's hair, but we were tired of the mullet comments. My neighbor Jessica came over and helped me by distracting Clare so that she wouldn't keep moving her head around (Thanks, Jess!). She still has all the curlies but no mullet. She looks adorable, although I must admit I rather miss the mullet.

For your amusement...
I came across this picture as I was sorting through and picking out pictures to post of the kids and thought it might give someone out there a laugh.
The story...
George and Nels (my older sister Kelly's fiance) were assigned the simple task of coming up with a centerpiece for Thanksgiving dinner.

Christmas Crazies
We've had a crazy, fun, and busy Christmas season this year!
In front of our tree
Getting gifts from Santa
Twas the Night Before...
...and the Aftermath
Just awake on her 1st Christmas
Opening his first gift
Enjoying the toys
Getting Sleepy
Wearing the Thomas robe he got
Wearing her princess robe
One funny story for now... On Christmas morning, the twins came downstairs to find their present, an easel and art supplies, from Gree Gree already assembled and ready to go. Grace was so excited and liked it so much that we had to force her to open the rest of her presents. All she wanted to do was paint! As soon as all her presents were open, she went straight to painting!
