2013 Picture with Santa

With two babies, it was necessary to avoid long lines to see Santa.  Fortunately, the kids get of school at 12:30 every Friday, so we went right after dismissal to avoid the crowds.  Last year we went to the Galleria because it is right up the street, but the lines were long and it is ridiculously expensive.  After seeing some other friends post photos from Bass Pro Shops on Facebook, I decided to look into that.  Guess what?  It was free!  You can’t beat free, so we decided to give it a try.  Thanks to our ability to go while most kids are still in school and parents at work, we only had to wait about 10 minutes.  I wish we could see the babies’ faces better, but I still think it turned out pretty cute.  The babies even got to wear the same outfits that Jacob and Grace wore here!

2013 Annual Christmas Tree Hunt

We went to get our Christmas tree, and oh my gosh was it cold!  The forecast said mid 50’s so we dressed with long sleeves and relatively light jackets, but it was so windy that the wind chill had to be in the 30’s.  It was bitterly cold!  We ended up with the babies in the Becos zipped inside our jackets.  We picked out a tree as fast as possible, played for a bit, got some hot chocolate, and headed to load up the tree.  We actually fit it inside the van!  We have half of the back seat out for extra cargo storage and we were able to just fit the tree in that spot.  No strapping it down to the roof of the car this year!

Bea and Maggie’s Baptism

We baptized Bea and Maggie this afternoon at our local parish.  Both sets of godparents live out of town.  We missed them but know they were with us in spirit.  We are 5/5 for babies sleeping through their baptisms.  Both babies slept through the entire thing.  It was a really nice ceremony and everything went smoothly.  We are now home relaxing and enjoying our sweet-smelling babies.
