Firehouse

Yesterday we went to visit the central fire station in our area with our church playgroup. Even though Jake normally loves firetrucks, he was terrified of the fire station. He kept pulling on me and wanting to leave. He eventually calmed down a bit but was still glad when we finally left.

Potty Training

So we have embarked on the great adventure known as potty training. Jake is still not interested, so he is pretty much on hold although he does ask to wear his train "panties" sometimes. We keep telling him that his Thomas the Tank Engine briefs are underwear, but he still calls them his train panties. They look pretty much like these:


Grace is pretty much potty trained during the day. She still wears a diaper at night and during her nap, although she is usually dry after her nap. She has some Dora underwear (see below) and knows not to pee or poop on Dora. She will either tell me she needs to potty or go by herself. She even asked the woman in the nursery today at Mass when she needed to go potty. Yay Gracie! What a big girl!

Clare's Baptism

We recently had Clare baptized, and it was such a great day! Although it was hot, the day was beautiful, Clare was perfect, and even Grace and Jake were on their best behavior. Now my little Clarie Beary is Catholic!

Big Boy Beds

We recently made the big move to big kid beds, and thanks to the book Billy's Big Boy Bed both G&J affectionately referred to their beds as the big boy beds. Here are some pics from the first night in the big "boy" beds. I must say the transition has gone surprisingly well!
