An Evening Swim

Yesterday evening Grammy and I took Grace and Jake swimming with the neighbors. We didn't stay long because we got cold once the sun started going down, but we had fun while it lasted!

Girly Girl & Silly Boy strike again!

Tonight I went to dinner at P.F. Chang's with the neighbors. I put this dress on Grace because her clothes were pretty dirty. I hardly ever dress her up in such girly clothes, so I thought it appropriate to take a picture commemorating the occasion. I could not get her to keep the hat on long enough to get a decent picture. Not to mention, Jake kept taking the hat off of her and trying to put it on himself. That did not make for a happy girl!

If you notice in the background of the photos, Grace and Jake were quite the little whirlwinds today. Yes, we make a mess everyday, but today was one for the record books. They scattered toys and clothes all over the entire house, threw the cushions from the couch all over the place, and totally wore me out all the while! Now I just hope they both sleep all night (and maybe they could even sleep in a little bit, yeah right!).

Our Favorite Book

Edwina is our very favorite book. We read it at least twice a day, sometimes more. Grace & Jake are always carrying it to me to read to them. I swear I almost have it memorized. I'm glad I like it or I might have to hide it like Grammy does with toys that annoy her :).

Pretty Portraits

I took these photos this morning before we left for Mass. As usual, I got exactly zero good ones of Grace and Jake together. I'm a little frustrated that I can never get a really cute one with both of them in it, but I am really happy with these individual ones.

Being Silly

Sorry the quality isn't too great, but it's still cute (especially near the end)!

Our Adventures

One day as I was getting dressed to run some errands, Jake shut himself in his room. Grace and Jake regularly go in their room, close the door, and jump around on the bed. Needless to say, I wasn't worried about letting him play in there alone. There isn't anything he can get into. About 5 minutes after he shut the door, I was ready to go and went in to get him. This is how I found him...

...sound asleep on the floor!

One evening coming home from Olive Garden (which was lovely) Jake kept sticking both index fingers up his nose. By the time I got the camera, he was down to one finger, but it was still pretty cute.
