A Day Out With Thomas

For G&J's birthday, we got tickets to go ride Thomas the Tank Engine in Rusk, TX. We decided to make an overnight trip out of our journey and actually camped in a tent with the kids. It was lots of fun, and we definitely plan to do it again!

G&J are 3!

How did that happen?!? These three years have just flown by. We had a great time celebrating Grace and Jake's third birthday. Daddy took the day off work and went to our first Friday class at church with us. After the class, we picked up Chick-fil-a and met up with some friends at a nearby park. That evening we went to Johnny Rocket's so the twins could get sung to by a crowd. Then we came home and had cupcakes and sang happy birthday again. The twins got a swing set for their birthday and have absolutely loved it! They go in and out playing all day long.

We had their party yesterday at out house. We grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken, ate cake, played with a Cars piñata, and opened presents. All our friends and family helped make it a very special day! Thanks to all who visited us in celebration of Grace and Jake's third birthday!

Our friends Stephanie, Ryan, and their daughter Beth gave Grace and Jake a xylophone piano for their birthday. The babies love it (and even fight over it from time to time)! Here is a video of Jake displaying his awesome musical talent ;)

We're Two!

So posting has been lax as of late. Sorry about that, but hopefully things will pick up soon now that Megan is out of the first trimester and I'm not going to be traveling as much.

Jake and Grace turned 2 on Wednesday, October 3. On their actual birthday Megan and I gave them their present from us - tricycles! They really liked them but didn't quite get the peddling part down. Fortunately the trikes allow us to push and steer the little ones while they hold on.

The following Saturday we had a small birthday party for the babies. They received lots of gifts, their favorites being Little People toys. Here are some pictures from those days:

Happy Birthday Aunt Kelly!

Today is Aunt Kelly's birthday, so the babies and I went to lunch with Aunt Kelly, Aunt Chelsea, and Grammy. We also went to dinner and ate Mexican food (well I did at least, the babies will get theirs later :D). It was a very busy but fun day. I think we are all worn out and need our beauty sleep.
